Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is suffering worst load shedding despite significant power production in the province. He said that KP has right on electricity but its citizens were suffering most extensive load shedding. CM KP said that he would not end sit-in until resolution of the issue via talks.
CM Pervez Khattak while talking to reporters outside parliament house in Islamabad said that low cost electricity is being sold out on high prices to KP. He complained for depriving basic rights and atrocities against KP. He said that KP is working on 1,000 megawatts power projects. He expressed outrage over government that WAPDA is responsible for electricity theft and the government should grip thieves instead of levelling allegations.
He said that the protest is being organised post approval of unanimous resolution in KP assembly and all were standing shoulder to shoulder for their rights. He termed the protest as just ‘token’ protest and KP will given one-week deadline to the government otherwise whole province would stand to get its rights. CM KP claimed that all political parties were presented here except ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
