PESHAWAR: Doctors Council on Wednesday boycotted all the Out Patient Departments (OPDs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province over the yesterday’s incident at Khyber Teaching Hospital.
As per details, a brawl between provincial Health Minister Hasham Inam Ullah and a doctor of Khyber Teaching Hospital Dr. Zia Uddin was reported yesterday and the doctors have accused that their fellow was beaten by the minister and his guards. The doctors also demanded to register a case against the minister.
However, the accusations of the doctors were rejected by the provincial Health Minister.
On the other hands, the KP CM Mehmood Khan has taken notice of the matter and ordered an inquiry in this regards. Despite the notice, doctors have boycotted the OPDs of all the government hospitals in the province.
