ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) leglislators ended up sit-ins after holding successful dialogues with the federal government as Minister of Water & Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif ensured to remove all reservations of the KP government.
CM KP Pervez Khattak and federal minister Khawaja Asif held successful dialogues to end sit-in outside parliament house lodged by KP lawmakers.
Khawaja Asif said that the federal government wanted to remove all reservations of KP province and ready to make maximum coordination with the provincial government. He said that procedures to resolve each matter would be envisaged after return of finance minister Ishaq Dar currently visiting Afghanistan.
CM Pervez Khattak said that the protestors tabled three demands before federal government including power, hydel and financial resources of the province. He thanked Khawja Asif to listen demands of the protestors.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Sirajul Haq said that all political parties took part in the protest led by CM KP Pervez Khattak. He said that Khawaja Asif promised to reduce load shedding before commencement of Ramadan and payments of all dues of provincial government.
The protest was attended by KP assembly speaker Qaiser Asad, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s Khanzada Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s Arif Allvi, Sirajul Haq and various other KP ministers along with PESCO officials.
