Vote counting is continued for results of municipal elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where 88,000 candidates participated in the elections.
According to unofficial results so far, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading with 55 seats, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) is second with 44 seats and Independent candidates have scored third position with 25 seats.
Whereas, out of 9 seats in Tang, PTI won all the seats, according to unconfirmed results.
PTI, ANP and PML-N candidates were competitors in Sawat, however PML-N and ANP could have won three seats, according to unofficial results.
PTI’s candidate success is expected in Dera Ismail Khan, where PTI and JUI-F have close competition.Meanwhile, tough competition was observed between ANP and PTI competitors, while ANP is expected to win the seat here in Sawabi.
According to unofficial results, out of 21 Union Councils, PTI has gained 10 seats, JUI-F is leading with 11 seats in Bannu.Whereas, PTI is leading in Nowshera so far, where competitors of PTI and ANP had tough competition.
In Mardan, ANP is leading while PTI is the runners-up, according to unconfirmed results, PTI, PML-N and Independent candidates were competitors in Kohat, whereas, ANP and PTI had tough competition in Charsadda but ANP is leading here.
PTI’s candiate is leading in Malakand, where PTI and PPP were competitors.However, according to unconfirmed results, PML-N is leading with 16 seats and PTI is runner-up with 15 seats in Abbottabad.
