KP NAB Initiates Inquiry Against Capt Safdar’s Corruption

Peshawar (January 09, 2018): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa (KP) has initiated probe against the PML-N leader Captain retired Safdar in allegations of corruption and embezzlement.

In statement issued by KP NAB said that the inquiry has been initiated against Captain retired Safdar for allegedly involvement in corruption of two billion rupees in development scheme approved for NA-21 Mansehra.

The KP NAB started investigations against MNA Capt Safdar after the approval by the Chairman NAB Justice retired Javed Iqbal.Earlier on January 3 chairman NAB has ordered the Director General KP NAB to initiate action against the Captain Safdar after receiving complaints of embezzlement.

NAB has said that captain Safdar has indulged to hand over contracts of Rs three billion rupees to his favourite contractors by violating the rules, later he allegedly embezzled rupees two billion in allotting contracts of development schemes.Chairman NAB has directed the DG KP NAB to conduct transparent and on merit investigation keeping in view legal aspects so that the looted money could be returned to the national exchequer and culprits could take to the task.
