PESHAWAR: Anti-polio campaign in 23 districts including Peshawar has entered into last day, while the second phase of polio campaign in Karachi to start from today.
According to Health Department, 17180 teams have been formed to achieve hundred percent results of the campaign in KPK, which included 14709 mobile and 1586 fixed teams. For this reason, 774 exit and entry points have been fixed, so that children travelling from one place to another could be administered with polio vaccines.
Strict security arrangements were made during polio campaign, while administration has imposed ban on riding motorcycle under section 144.
Meanwhile, second phase of anti-polio campaign has started in Karachi, starting from November 13 and will continue till November 16. The campaign would cover Korangi district, District West, East and other remaining areas. At least one million children were administered during first phase of anti-polio campaign.
