RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has gradually allowed resumption of the year-round Umrah pilgrimage from 4th of next month under necessary health preventative measures.
According to a statement issued by the Saudi Interior Ministry, in the first stage, 6,000 citizens and expatriates living within the country will be allowed to perform the Umrah per day.
In the second phase, 15 thousand pilgrims and expatriates living within the Kingdom would be permitted from 18th of next month to perform the Umrah.
Similarly, in the third phase, visitors within the country and abroad will be permitted from 1st of November to perform Umrah when Umrah capacity will be raised to 20,000 pilgrims per day.
