KSA Information Minister Meets PM Khan

Islamabad (September 09, 2018): The premier Imran Khan is holding a meeting with Saudi Information and Culture Minister Dr Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad on Sunday.

Matters pertaining to bilateral ties between the two countries were discussed in the meeting. Increasing mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia was also discussed in the meeting.

The Minister conveyed the message of felicitation to Prime Minister Imran Khan on behalf of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. He also invited the Prime Minister to visit Saudi Arabia.

Awwad Bin Saleh Alawwad also conveyed felicitation of Saudi crown prince Mohammad bin Salman to Imran Khan on becoming Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry and Foreign Secretary were also present in the meeting.Saudi Information Minister Meets Army Chief Gen BajwaEarlier on September 08, the Saudi information minister Dr Awwad Bin Saleh Al Awwad called on Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting, said a statement issued by military media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The visiting dignitary lauded the strong and brotherly bilateral ties between the two countries.

He also reaffirmed Saudi governments’ full support to Pakistan in its efforts towards peace and stability.

Earlier, in his meeting with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, the Saudi minister said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoyed the strong fraternal relationship and now would work to enhance ties in the field of media.

He said he had the opportunity to meet the cabinet ministers and the members of Parliament and discussed with them issues of mutual interest.

Awwad Bin Salen said that Pakistan was like a second home to him and both the countries had solidified their relationship in the last six decades.

“The two countries had established a strong relationship at the leadership and government to government level and now they should build people to people contacts,” he added.

He recalled that the Pakistani media delegation covered the Hajj, adding more exchange of delegations should take place so that the messages related to Vision 2030 of the Saudi government could be conveyed to the youth.
