Riyadh (June 7, 2017): Kuwait’s Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah held talks with the Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz on ways to defuse an escalating crisis between members of Gulf Cooperation Council and Qatar in Riyadh on Tuesday.
Bilateral issues of mutual interest, Qatar conflict, international, regional and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting between Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah and King Salman, sources said. Kuwait’s Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah left for his homeland after the meeting.
Earlier, Kuwait’s Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah had met with Saudi ambassador in Kuwait City. A letter of Saudi King was handed over to Kuwait’s Emir in the meeting by the ambassador, sourced said. Turkey was also attempting to defuse tension between Qatar and members of Gulf Cooperation Council.
