Peshawar (May 24, 2017): Unknown armed men opened fire on car of a lady doctor in Regi area of the provincial metropolis.
As per initial reports, the attack took place in Regi area of Peshawar. Some unknown armed men open fire on the car of a lady doctor.

As a result, driver of the doctor died on the spot, while she received bullet injuries. The doctor, who was identified as Kosar, was going to her clinic from home when she targeted.
Soon after the attack, police and rescue officials rushed to the site and shifted the body and injured to a local hospital. Police started search for arrest of the attackers.
It is to be mentioned here that the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been hit by militants violence for the last many years for having border with the tribal areas, a hotbed of Taliban militancy. In recent years, the militancy has largely been eliminated and controlled through military operations in the tribal areas.
