Lahore: 7 Children Suffering from AIDS Admitted in Services Hospital

Lahore (September 14, 2017): Seven children fighting AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome also known as Human immunodeficiency virus infection) in suburban Chak No. 128 Bhattiwala area here to Services Hospital Lahore for treatment are being finalized.

It may be mentioned here that the presence of 41 AIDS-infected people in Chak No.128 came to light just a few days ago.

The seven AIDS-infected children have been shifted to Services Hospital Lahore for treatment on the direction of the Punjab government.

According to details blood samples of 70 people were taken a few days ago at an Anti-Hepatitis camp held in Chak No.128 of which 42 were diagnosed infected with AIDS of which 27 were women and 14 were men.

The Health Department took blood samples from additional people of which 10 including seven children between 6-12 years of age were found infected with AIDS who are now being shifted to Services Hospital Lahore for treatment.

During one year 10 persons of the same family of the same village have been infected with AIDS virus.
