Lahore: Young doctors continue with their protest for fourth day

The sit-in by young doctors has entered its fourth day today as the Health Department has also strengthened its stance not to bow before the protesting doctors and nurses. Meanwhile fice cases have been registered against the protestors at various police stations.

Despite numerous talks with the administration there has been no break through with the issue standing unresolved still.

The protest continues despite the death of four-year-old girl Sana who died at Meo Hospital as the protest continued on the Mall Road.

ADVISOR Health Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that two doctors could not take the entire system hostage. If the agitating young doctors do not return back to the duty they would be sacked after floating advertisement, he added.

Meanwhile, the workers of Water Board Management too have set up camps at Club Chowk. They are demanding that they would be given permanent employment.

The sitins continuing at Mall Road here has turned the lives of the people hell with long queues of vehicles causing longish traffic jams.
