Web Desk (July 23, 2018): Imtiaz Ali, who is known for presenting unconventional and contemporary love stories, is back with one more, this time.
‘Laila Majnu’. Well, this is an age-old love story, but we are curious to find what Imtiaz has to offer with this one.
The makers have released a new teaser of the film, titled ‘Laila Majnu – Tales by Imtiaz Ali’, which sees the director sitting with a book and explaining what true love is and and talking about the transformation of love over the years. He says, “Love belongs to every generation and more to this generation than any other”.

The film, directed by Sajid Ali and presented by Imtiaz and Ekta Kapoor, is set to release in August.
Imtiaz starts by talking about the classic love tales that are still talked about and then wonders what makes them so special to still carry it along.
He then talks about how every generation tells the new generation that love is what used to be in their generation and not what is there in the present. And that the new generation knows nothing about love. “I don’t believe that love belongs to a previous generation, I believe that love belongs to every generation,” Imtiaz opened up in the teaser.
He strongly believes that even in today’s generation Laila and Majnu still exist. The teaser ends with, “Humari kahani likhi hui hai (our story has been written).”
