7 Laborers Buried in Premature Mining Blast, Body Recovered

 Sargodha (September 27, 2017): Efforts are underway to rescue laborers buried under the debris after explosives were detonated premature. The laborers were busy crushing stones at a mountainous area near Puul Gayarah area here.

According to details the landslide occurred here when seven laborers were busy breaking mass of mountain near Chak No. 126 here. Seven laborers were buried under the debris.

Rescue teams arrived at the site of the incident and started the works to pull the laborers out f the debris. Rescue workers managed to pull out the body of a laborer and also managed to rescue another in injured condition.

The efforts are under to recover the remaining five laborers from under the debris.

Talking to media Additional Commissioner Tariq Niazi said that though the deadly incident would be probed from every angle the landslide occurred due to conducting of the explosives blast before time.

District emergency Officer Mazhar Shah called survival of five laborers buried under the debris dim.

This is the third landslide incidents here this month. Three people died in the two previous similar accidents.
