LAHORE: Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmad Shah said that high-level enquiry commission will investigate the clash between lawyers and doctors at Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) as despite reconciliation why clash started.
Interior minister issued a statement in which he expressed that a dispute took place between doctors and lawyers three to four weeks ago. He added that the matter was reconciled but it rose up again which turned out it in a horrific crash.
“Lawyers were outraged after watching the videos on social media,” he added.
The action will be taken against the perpetrators and issue will be inquired by high-level officers,” he said.
Interior Minister apprised that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken notice of the tragic incident. He vowed that strict action will be taken against those who are found responsible during the inquiry.
Earlier, a violent clash that erupted between hundreds of lawyers and doctors left at least four people injured when the charged lawyers stormed into the Punjab Institute of Cardiology and broke windows of the emergency ward and several vehicles parked nearby.
