Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Sunday started bulldozing houses adjacent to Khokhar palace after declaring it illegal.
The police has cordoned off all the road leading up to the Khokhar palace.
According to Saif Ul Mulook Khokhar, three houses and one plaza scattered on eight canals are being razed in the Khokhar palace which is built on 177 canals. He informed that all the three houses and plaza are built on two canals of land each in which nephews and nieces of Saif Ul Mulook are residents.
Saif Ul Mulook has claimed that the LHC has issued a prohibition order on razing the building while the LDA officials said that the construction of the houses are illegal, henceforth, action is being taken.
