PESHAWAR: Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan on Monday announced the merging of levies and special forces with the provincial police, issuing a notification in this regard too.
The announcement came formally into the limelight during KPK Chief Minister’s press conference in Peshawar.
“We have issued a notification regarding the amalgamation of Levies and special forces with Khyberp Pakhtunkhwa police”, Mehmood Khan said.
“From onwards, all of 28 thousand deployed levies and special forces officials will be part of provincial police”, he added.
Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan is in Khyber district to perform groundbreaking of various development projects in the provincial district.
Acting upon the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan of bringing tribal areas onto the path of mainstream development, Chief Minister KPK will lay the foundation stone of Jamrud by-pass road.
Other than that, Mahmood Khan will also launch the Enrollment Campaign April 2019 of the Education Department.
On this occasion, CM KPK Mahmood Khan issued a statement asserting that inclusion of the public in these development projects in necessary for long-term prosperity.
