LAHORE: Calling peaceful protest right of every citizen a three-member full-bench of Lahore High Court headed by Justice Shahid Hameed Dar allowed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to go ahead with Raiwind march.
The court had reserved the judgment over Raiwind march case yesterday which it announced today thereby disposing off all the petitions.
The court said in its judgment that district administration will be responsible for security arrangements and for supplying all the necessities during the public rally while PTI will be responsible to ensure that its workers disperse peacefully at the end of the rally.
Protecting the basic rights is the duty of the state and the basic rights of the political workers should also be protected, the judgment said. The agreement between PTI and administration must be implemented, it added.
