ISLAMABAD: Former president of Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) on Tuesday moved Supreme Court (SC) against Lahore High Court (LHC) decision of annulling the formation of special court to hear treason case against former President Pervez Musharraf.
The petitioner has requested the court to uphold the death sentence of Musharraf in the case while arguing that the LHC was not having jurisdiction to take up the case pertaining to establishment of special court, they added.
The petitioner claimed the special court was formed as per law. LHC had not given any importance to the evidence provided by the prosecutor, they went on to say.
Earlier in December 2019, LHC nullified the formation of special court which sentenced Pervez Musharraf to death in high treason case.
