LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday extended the pre-arrest bails of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shehbaz in Ramzan Sugar Mills, Saaf Pani Company and Money Laundering case.
As per details, a two-member bench of the LHC heard a case pertaining to the plea filed by PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz for an extension in his pre-arrest bails.
As the hearing went underway, Director General National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted a response on Hamza’s all three applications.
During the hearing, Hamza’s counsel told the court in his arguments pertaining to the contempt of court issue by DG NAB that LHC on November 20 ordered the anti-graft body to inform his client 10 days prior to his arrest.
Hamza’s counsel also told the court that the anti-graft watchdog official violated court’s orders as it conducted a raid on the PML-N leader’s residence and harassed his family.
To which, the court issued a notice to DG NAB to submit his response on April 25.
Hamza’s counsel also asked to extend the bail of his client so he can answer the allegations of NAB as the former received it late.
To which, the court by accepted the extension plea by the petitioner extended his previously granted bail till April 25 and adjourned the case.
