LHC Issues Written Verdict In Nawaz Sharif ECL Removal Case

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued written verdict regarding permitting to remove former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List without any conditions for a time period of four weeks.

In its four-page written decision, the LHC said that in case Nawaz’s health doesn’t improve then the time-period can be extended, adding that the government officials will be able to contact Nawaz through the Pakistani embassy.

The verdict stated that Nawaz Sharif is allowed to go abroad for four weeks under certain conditions. The LHC remarked that “if it is undertaken by the petitioner as well as Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif for one time travel and timely return then his request to travel abroad can provisionally be looked into”.
