LHC Reserves Verdict in Mush’s Presidency Removal Case

Lahore (April 27, 2018): Lahore High Court has reserved the verdict over ex-president Pervez Musharraf for removing him from the presidency of APML.

The verdict is reserved for whether the application is able for the ruling in high court. It is a second application regarding the removal of Pervez Musharraf from the APML presidency.

Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore high court reserved the verdict on the application of Advocate Muhammad Afaq.The application challenges the presidency of Ex-President Pervez Musharraf of APML. Lahore High Court stated that the applicant is not effected directly by General (R) Musharraf and he has not consulted through a proper forum.

The application states that according the article 62 and 63, Pervez Musharraf was disqualified in 2013 elections, and according to the political parties order and rules, a disqualified person cannot become the president of a party.

The lawyer of applicant said by mentioning the verdict of Supreme Court that Nawaz Sharif was also ordered to leave the presidency of PMLN after he was disqualified for life.
