PML N Will Eliminate Its Opponents in Upcoming Polls

Dera Ghazi Khan (March 17, 2018): Newly elected Pakistan Muslim League President and Chief Minister Punjab said that PML N will give historical defeat to its opponents and eliminate them from political scene.

Talking to huge public gathering in DG Khan, he said that Zardari and Niazi alliance is lethal. They have give leniency to each other and criticizing only PML N’s Punjab government.

He claimed that federally ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would sweep in the upcoming General Elections 2018. People’s verdict in the elections would let it be known that which political organisation worked for their development and which one wasted time with empty rhetoric.

He criticized his opponents and said that PML N has worked hard in last five years to serve its people.

Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif claimed the PML-N government has brought positive change to southern Punjab which was “neglected for years”.

The chief minister of Punjab also said that the incumbent government has been responsible for constructing schools and hospitals in the region and brought essential services to all areas of south Punjab.Taking aim at his political rivals, Shehbaz said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and its chief Imran Khan have continuously lied during their years in power.

“You did not build either schools or hospitals and wasted the people’s time,” alleged Shehbaz.

He  said that politics was not Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s cup of tea and that a top court bench should probe his allegations.

Shehbaz alleged Imran Khan and former president Asif Ali Zardari to have cut a deal with each other to not criticise each other’s provincial governments in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). Punjab chief minister reiterated that he would quit politics if corruption worth a penny is proved against him.The preparations for the rally were completed earlier in the day with about 20,000 chairs set up at the rally site.

He appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar to direct for a 17-member Supreme Court (SC) bench to look into corruption allegations leveled by opposition party leader Imran Khan over Multan metro bus project, an initiative of the Government of Punjab.

He alleged the previous governments of having neglected development of South Punjab.

He asserted that the government of PML-N in Punjab after General Elections 2013 worked day and night for the people of South Punjab whether it was floods or storms.He refuted opposition’s allegations of not coming true to his promises and invited opposition leaders to visit Dera Ghazi Khan to see for themselves that schools and hospital were erected for the people.

He also asserted to have spent funds belonging to the impoverish people with utmost honesty.

On March 13, PML-N on Tuesday elected Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif as the party’s permanent president.

Shehbaz who had been serving as the interim president was elected unopposed during the party’s central general council meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif thanked Nawaz, his brother, for entrusting the important party position to him. “The world knows that injustice was served to our leader Nawaz,” Shehbaz told party workers, “but I believe he will get justice.”

The PML-N president asserted that Nawaz Sharif is, was and will remain the party’s Quaid (supremo). “We have been blessed with a Quaid like Nawaz Sharif.”

Shehbaz said that no one can take the place of Nawaz Sharif in the party. “The world knows Nawaz Sharif,” he said.
