RAWALPINDI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi chapter has filed the reference of
LNG terminal case in Accountability Court of Islamabad.

The AC Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the LNG terminal case wherein Shahid Khaqan Abbassi and
Muftah Ismail presented before the court.

The NAB after approval of its chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal filed the reference during the course of
the hearing.

At the occasion, the anti-corruption body told the court that the reference has been filed for misuse of
powers against Shahid Khaqan Abbassi and others nine accused.

The reference described that LNG terminal agreement will burden people of the country Rs 68 billion
regarding payment of gas bills, as per the reference Muftah Ismail name is also among the accused
while ex-managing director Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Sheikh Imranul Haq played vital role in the
agreement.

The reference further informed that ex-premier Shahid Khaqan Abbassi during physical remand refusing
any cooperation completely gave no any satisfactory response in the case.

Judge Muhammad Bashir barring Muftah Ismail for speaking said that the accused should not have to be emotional.
Later, the court extended the judicial remand of Shahid Khaqan Abbassi and Muftah Ismail until December 16.
