LAHORE: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has claimed that the meeting of Opposition leaders in London is part of the conspiracy against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Talking to media in Lahore, Sadiq said that the route of CPEC was not changed, saying that conspiracies and CPEC were running side by side.
To a question he said that he was elected as Speaker National Assembly according to law and constitution. He added if Imran Khan did not accept his as Speaker, then it means he did not accept the constitution of the country.
He added that conspiracy hatched in London can do no harm to the government.
Sadiq sad that parliamentarians should come to the parliament to put their stance before people instead of resorting to agitation, which harms national development.
He said those who believe in the politics of sit-in should think about the interest of the country. The Speaker said all the political parties, except one, were united in the parliament on the Kashmir issue, and a strong message was sent to India.
He said the prevailing situation demands unity among the political forces against the Indian aggressive designs, not attempts to create instability in the country. However, he vowed, the government will not let succeed these attempts or any conspiracy against China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
To a question, Ayaz Sadiq said India’s false claims of surgical strike have been exposed, and now people even within India are questioning about this drama.
