Major Decline Reported in Terrorism Last Year :Necta Report

ISLAMABAD: National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) in its report stated that terrorist’s attacks in the country have decreased, however, Baluchistan badly affected from the menace last year.

The NACTA submitted its report to Prime Minister Imran Khan in which it stated that terrorist’s activities diminished in Baluchistan and Fata area by 22 per cent.

According to the report, as many as 517 people lost their lives in terrorist activities in the year 2018 of whom 288 belonged to Baluchistan.

A major reduction is reported in Sindh where terrorism cases declined by 80 per cent while Punjab and Islamabad saw a decrease of 50 per cent in terrorist activities.

A handsome figure of 67 per cent reported in declining of terrorism in Azad Jammu And Kashmir.

The report further added that 138 people were killed in Fata, 59 in KP, 15 in Punjab, 10 in Sindh in last year, 2018 terrorist’s activities.

Besides, five lost their lives in Gilgit Baltistan while one person killed in AJK.
