Islamabad (June 08, 2017): A man on Thursday intercepted Awami Mulsim League (AML) Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed at Parliament House entrance and demanded payment of Rs2.2 million loan, he claimed Rashid had taken from him by some 15 year ago.
The man, who was later identified as Malik Noor-ul-Awan, stopped Rashid when he was leaving Parliament House and demanded payment of the amount, Sheikh Rashid allegedly owed to him.

The man claimed that Sheikh Rashid had taken Rs2.2 million from him some 15 years ago as loan and did not returned the money.
He appealed the media person and other present at the scene to help him in recovering the money from Rashid.
He clarified that no political party was backing him, adding that he had come to the Parliament on his own.
The AML chief who was leaving the Parliament House, returned to the National Assembly and apprised the house of the situation.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan went to the seat of Sh Rashid and inquired about details of the incident.
Chaudhry Mehmood Bashir Virk, who was presiding the session, directed Sargent at Arms and SP Parliament to look into the issue. Later, the man was arrested by security personnel of the Parliament House on the instructions of the Presiding Officer.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khurshid Shah while condemning the misbehavior with Rashid said that Sh Rashid had earlier raised the issue of security at Parliament.
He urged the government to look into it.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Rashid alleged that the man who “attack” him was a ‘Gullu Butt’ of PML-N. He added that he was attacked at Parliament House.
He further said that he was going to register FIR of the ‘attack’.
