Manchester blast: Abedi’s father, brother apprehended in Libya

Tripoli (May 25, 2017): A suspected suicide bomber in Manchester blast, Salman Abedi’s father Ramazan and younger brother Hashem were arrested by militia in Libya.

Police claimed that Abedi’s younger brother Hashem was aware of the terror plan. According to the police Salman Abedi and Hashem were affiliated with the self-styled terrorist organization Islamic State (IS).

Abedi’s brother told law enforcement agencies that Salman Abedi left for Manchester from Libya just four days before the massacre. His father wanted Abedi to stay in Libya but he insisted to leave for Manchester, he added.

Whereas police apprehended another suspected women from a residential building in Manchester.

At least 22 people had been killed and 59 others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up during a musical concert at Manchester Arena. The suicide bomber attacked at Manchester Arena when a US singer Ariana Grande was singing her last song of the concert.
