Islamabad (July 22, 2017): Met Office has forecast rain with thunderstorm in many areas of the country during next 24 hours.
According to the forecast, strong monsoon currents are penetrating in the eastern parts of the country.
Rains coupled with gusty winds are expected at a number of places in Kashmir, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi , Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions), Islamabad, Hazara, Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad divisions while at scattered places in FATA, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ,D.G. Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Karachi, Sibbi, Zhob, Nasirabad divisions, and Gilgit Baltistan in the next 24 hours.
Rain-thunderstorm (with isolated heavy falls) occurred at a number of places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi division, while at scattered places in Faisalabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mirpurkhas divisions, Kashmir and at isolated places in Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sahiwal and Hyderabad divisions on Wednesday.
Highest temperature was recorded on Friday in Dalbandin and Sibbi at 44°C and Turbat and Dadu at 43°C.
