ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb refuted reports that the party had decided to boycott the Cabinet sub-committee meeting, clarifying that they had never been invited to attend it.
According to details, Marriyum Aurangzeb said: “We had presented our stance to the sub-committee. Reports of PML-N’s boycott of the committee are baseless and misleading.”
Additionally, PML-N leader Ataullah Tarar also rejected the statement attributed to him regarding sub-committee boycott, saying that such reports are based on lies.
Tarar said that PML-N representatives had not been asked to appear before the sub-committee meeting.
“When we contacted the interior ministry, they informed us that there has no meeting today,” said Tarar.
“There is no need to submit further surety at any forum as the party had already submitted surety bonds in the Lahore and Islamabad high courts to secure Nawaz’s bail,” he said.
Tarar added that the party has not changed its position.
