ISLAMABAD: PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday termed the conditional departure set by the government for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif “illegal and unconstitutional”.
The PML-N Twitter handle quoted Marriyum as saying: “Government is playing a dangerous game with Nawaz Sharif’s health.
The party spokesperson said that an emergency meeting of the PML-N supremo’s doctors has been called to consult on Nawaz’s recent condition.
“So far, Nawaz Sharif has been given steroids twice,” she said, adding: “Giving high doses of steroids to the former premier constantly may put his health in danger.”
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the government has no idea about the dangers faced by the PML-N leader.
The party’s spokesperson also mentioned that the air ambulance’s arrival has also been delayed due to the delays of the government. “Air ambulance is scheduled to arrive today on the instructions of the doctors,” she added.
She stated that the legal requirements regarding the former premier’s health have already been filled.
“In view of Nawaz’s health, the government should not become an impediment in treatment of the former premier,”she added.
