KARACHI: Two Pakistan Army soldiers, who embraced martyrdom while defending their homeland, have been laid to rest in their native towns.
Havaldar Nasir, who was martyred in unprovoked firing by Indian troops along Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday, has been laid to rest in his hometown in Narowal on Sunday.
A large number of people, including senior military officers and PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal, attended his funeral prayers.
Another army soldier, Sepoy Ghulam Rasool, who also embraced martyrdom in unprovoked firing by Indian forces across LoC, was laid to rest in his native town in Bahawalnagar.
Thousands of locals and army officers attended the funeral prayers for Sepoy Ghulam.
