LAHORE: PML-N leader Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar Awan has claimed that his wife and party’s vice president Maryam Nawaz has been apprehended for advocating the case of Kashmiris.
National Accountability Bureau on Thursday afternoon had arrested Maryam Nawaz and son of Nawaz Sharif’s late brother Abbass Sharif for not cooperating with the anti-graft body in probe of Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
Talking exclusively to AbbTakk News, Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar condemned the arrest of her wife, terming the move “fulfilment of India’s wish”.
“Maryam Nawaz wanted to take her rally to Muzaffarabad. This is what India longed. It did not want any popular leader of Pakistan to go to Kashmir”, Captain Safdar said.
