ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Special Assistant on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Maryam Nawaz would not have politicised her father’s health the way she has”.
Holding a presser in a response to Maryam Nawaz, vice-president Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan called Maryam Nawaz’s recent press conference ‘ a suicide attack on her party’.
“By calling charter of the economy a joke, Maryam has, in fact, made fun of her uncle Shahbaz Sharif,” the special assistant said in a press conference.
“The PML-N is stuck with two narratives – one of Nawaz and another of Shehbaz – after today’s press conference she should take Shehbaz’s resignation.”
She said that going with the logic that Nawaz should be released because of his medical condition, over 90 per cent of the prisoners must be released alongside Nawaz,
The PMSA said Maryam should remember she is a convicted criminal and she is on bail. “Courts have not absolved you from the cases,” she said.
Maryam, earlier, in a press conference heavily criticized the incumbent government, and said that there cannot be any charter with a selected, fake government.
She claimed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif underwent a heart attack at the Adiala Jail,
