LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz and her cousin Yousuf Abbas will be presented before an accountability court in Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case on Wednesday (today).
According to details, the daughter of former premier Nawaz Sharif, Maryam and her cousin Yousuf will be presented before the court as their remand expired today.
Strict security measures have been put in place to avoid any untoward scene in the judicial complex upon the court appearance.
On August 8, Maryam and her cousin had been arrested by NAB in the CSM case. Since then, their physical remand has been repeatedly extended.
Maryam Nawaz’s arrest had reportedly come in a dramatic way. She was present at the Kot Lakhpat jail on her weekly visit to her father along with her daughter and Yousuf Abbas when a NAB team entered the prison cell and showed Maryam and Abbas their arrest warrants in the CSM case in which they and other members of their family are facing money laundering and income beyond means charges.
