Maryam Questions Credibility of Courts’ Verdict

Gujranawala (February 02, 2018): Mayram Nawaz, the ruling PML-N leader and daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has questioned the credibility of judiciary citing there was punishment on contempt of court but no punishment over the contempt of constitution and challenged no court can bring the Musharraf to court for asking him why constitution was violated.

Addressing to Social Media Convention in Gujranwala, Maryam Nawaz took promised from supporters, “Raise your hand and promise me you will take your revenge of damaging sanctity of your vote by casting votes in favour of Nawaz Sharif in 2018 election.”

Maryam also mentioned that if court asked questions form Nawaz Sharif then everyone including dictators who violated constitution will be questioned.Pointing out the contempt of court notice to her, she said that when court were questioned the contempt of court notices being issued.

“Opponents have considered Sharif family will sheltered, PML-N will torn apart and Senate election will not be held as they hope for technocrats government, however people has foiled their such nefarious designs with their show of power,”she said adding that Nawaz Sharif done such a great development work that had compelled the opponents to escape from filed.

PML-N leader questioned, “When Nawaz Sharif visit any party of the country people thronged to take a glimpse of his leader, is it disqualification?”On the other hand, Maryam’s father and former Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif also criticized judiciary and said that judiciary must maintain the respect for others.

Addressing to gathering of lawyers in Karachi, former Prime Minister said that judges have right to decide but they do not have right to disrespect anyone.

During his speech, Nawaz lauded the lawyers’ endeavours during the movement to restore judiciary, saying it would always be remembered. “The movement was not for restoration of a few judges.”

However, judiciary was restored but justice has yet to be provided, Nawaz added. He said 38,000 cases were pending for hearing in Supreme Court until November 2017.

“Now, a movement will be started to restore [provision of] justice.”

At a gathering, Nawaz welcomed Pakistan Bar Council member Yasin Azad to PML-N.“The addition of important lawyers to PML-N will prove to be an asset for the party,” Nawaz said. He added 40 other lawyers, including Azad, have joined PML-N.
