Maryam, Safdar To Leave for Pakistan Today

London (October 8, 2017) : Daughter of former Prime Minister and leader of PML-N Maryam Nawaz, along with her husband Captain (R) Safdar will leave London for Pakistan today to appear before the accountability court on Monday, sources said.

The Accountability Court had summoned them over the Panama Papers references filed by the anti-graft watchdog National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

On October 2, The Accountability Court issued non-bailable arrest warrants of Nawaz Sharif’s children- Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz , Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (redt) Muhammad Safder.

Despite issuance of bailable arrest warrant on last hearing, Nawaz Sharif’s children did not appear before the court as they are currently in London.

Khuwaja Harris apprised the court that Nawaz Sharif’s children were in London to take care of their mother who is undergoing cancer torment there.

The accountability court on Monday heard the NAB references against Nawaz Sharif and his children.

Earlier, she left for London along with her husband Captain (R) Safdar to meet her ailing mother. The Sharif family is presently in London where Nawaz’s wife, Kulsoom, is undergoing treatment for lymphoma.

Maryam Nawaz has said that Kalsoom Nawaz’s condition is improving and she is recovering now.

The court said that if the accused did not appear before the court in next date of hearing, then Nawaz Sharif case would be separated from them.Maryam Nawaz stayed in Pakistan to run campaign for her mother in NA-120 by-elections, in which Ms. Nawaz defeated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Dr. Yasmin Rashid.

September 19, 2017: Maryam Nawaz Sharif along with her daughter and husband Captain (R) Safdar arrived in London to see her ailing mother, who is under treatment there for throat cancer.

Although, Nawaz Sharif is already in London to look after her wife.
