ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Maula Bux Chandio said on Thursday that NAB chairman speech has proved the concerns of opposition parties true.
“All concerns regarding NAB will disappear once the anti-graft watchdog would try to become an independent institution.”
He said that NAB chairman speech has proved the concerns of former president Asif Zarari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto correct, adding that economy cannot run when revenge takes place of accountability.
Earlier today, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Thursday warned that anti-graft watchdog will not come under threats and those who looted money should ready to face the law.
Addressing the cheque distribution ceremony held in Multan, chairman NAB criticised the “Socrates and Plato” who term the NAB law as a “black law”, saying that people criticise the institution without knowing anything about it.
