MET Office Issues Weather Outlook For August

ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has issued a weather outlook for the month of August.

According to the Department of Meteorology, there will be more than normal rains in August across the country, there will be more than normal rains in Northeast Punjab, Kashmir and South Sindh, there is a possibility of more than normal rains on the coast of Balochistan.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rains slightly more than normal in most areas of KP and Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan will receive normal rains this month.

The Department of Meteorology says that due to the heavy rains in August, there is a risk of flood rails in the hilly areas, there is a risk of urban flooding in the plains of Punjab, Sindh and KP, there is a possibility of flooding in the rivers and canals due to the rains in the upper areas.

According to the Department of Meteorology, higher than normal temperature will speed up the process of snow melting in the northern regions, due to the melting of snow, the flow of water in the rivers will also increase, abundant water will be available for irrigation and power sector this month.
