Met Office Predicts Eid-ul- Azha to Fall on August 22

Web Desk (August 10, 2018): Meteorological Department of Pakistan has forecast that Eid-ul- Azha is likely to fall on August 22, Wednesday in the country. While, in Saudi Arabia, the festival will be celebrated on August 21.

According to Met Office, there is a good chance of sighting the Zil-Hajj moon on August 12 and Zil-Hajj moon will be born on Saturday afternoon, while it will be visible on Sunday evening.Asia’s largest cattle market started at Super Highway, Karachi ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, while many other small markets have also been started in various parts of Karachi, for purchase of livestock for Eid-ul-Azha.Many people are making their way to markets to purchase best animal for them as soon as possible. But buyers complained that, prices for livestock are comparatively higher this year, and are usually starting from 100,000.

On the other hand, a new trend of online Qurbani service has hit the market, and is lately getting quite popular across Pakistan. According to reports, the citizens are showing keen interest in online purchase of sacrificial animals that can not only save their time but also help them avoid poor conditions and the rush of traffic in highly congested cattle markets.Eid-ul-Azha 2018: New Trend Becomes PopularEarlier, Saudi Arabia’s top court on Thursday called on citizens to report the sighting of the Eidul Azha crescent moon on August 11.
