Karachi (June 28, 2018): Met office predicted a spell of monsoon system is likely to hit Karachi from today, Thursday.
According to the Met office, the rains will be triggered by monsoon winds flowing from Rajhastan, India, which will simultaneously hit Sindh and Balochistan skies.

According to Met Office Director Abdul Rasheed, parts of Karachi may witness the first onset of monsoon rains tomorrow. It is likely to continue till Friday, the Met director said, adding that light thunder will precede periodic showers in various parts of the city.
Beside Karachi Rain-thundershower is also expected in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpurkhas divisions.Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Kalat, Zhob, Bahawalpur divisions and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu, Peshawar, D.I.Khan, D.G.Khan, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Quetta divisions, FATA, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the Met office, Rain-thundershower with gusty winds occurred at isolated places in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, D.G.Khan, Malakand, Hazara, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Larkana, Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
