ISLAMABAD: Following the light earthquake in Karachi, the tremors have also jolted the parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Islamabad, the meteorological office said.
According to the metrological office, the tremor was felt in Peshawar, Islamabad, Hangu, Minawali, DI Khan Upper Dir, Noshehra and other parts of both provinces.
“A 5.8 magnitude quake hits parts of the Punjab and KP while its depth was recorded 80 kilometres and its epicentre in Afghanistan,” Met office said.
There is no immediate report of any damage to life or property as a result of the quake.
According to reports, people rushed out of their homes and shops and other building.
