Civil, Military leadership agree to speed up momentum of Radd- ul- Fasaad

Civil and military leadership terming the operation against terrorism need of the time urged to speed up its momentum.

The views made by civil and military leadership in a high level meeting was held in Islamabad on Monday with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the chair to review security issues.

The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Advisor on National Security Nasser Khan Janjua, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, DG ISI and senior officials.

The meeting reviewed progress and successes achieved during the operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

The participants said that elimination of terrorism and extremism is imperative for sustainable peace in the country.

The Prime Minister and the participants expressed satisfaction over the performance of Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies for maintaining law and order in the country.

The meeting also reviewed anti-terrorism laws and exchanged views to strengthen these laws.

The meeting vowed to accelerate the implementation of National Action Plan at federal and provincial level. The Prime Minister also directed to speed up the operation.
