ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) President Sherry Rehman has said that convened session of parliament was canceled for tax amnesty schemes she questioned that would country will be run on tax amnesty scheme.
Talking to media outside Parliament house Senator Sherry Rehman said that Minister for Finance went to the USA in haste and returned adding that the government has accepted conditions of International Monetary Fund already.
She condemned the statement of Minister of Parliamentary affairs in which he threatened to torture if opposition staged protest adding that it is not civilized manner for an elected representative to talks of use force against parliamentarians.
Sherry Rehman said that those who were talking of presidential system should remember 1971 when Pakistan collapsed adding that presidential system was in place during army rule which damaged country severely.
