ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid on Friday said that the country could face food and water shortage due to climatic changes taking place across the world.
Addressing an event organized by United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Zahid Hamid said that there was a need to encourage environment-friendly inventions and environment-friendly industries to improve environment.
He added that Pakistan was one of the the worst affected countries by climatic changes in the world.
The ceremony was also addressed by United Nations Industrial Development Organization representative in Pakistan Aisam Al-Kararah. Prizes were also distributed among the winners of competition of environment-friendly inventions.
