ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Senator Sherry Rehman on Wednesday alleged that federal ministers are deliberately making parliament unfeasible just to impose the presidential system in the country.
“PPP will resist govt’s move to nudge the country towards a presidential system,” she said while addressing media in Islamabad.
PPP leader said the new Budget was just around the corner and our Finance Minister not attending parliamentary sessions.
“Finance Minister once said he will commit suicide but will not take loans, but now he himself has done an agreement with International Monetary Fund (IMF),” she added.
“If IMF has to make Pakistan’s budget than what is the reason for appointing finance committee?” she questioned.
She added that the federal government is playing a football match on the Tax Amnesty Scheme.
