ABU DHABI: Misbah ul-Haq scored the fastest half-century in Test cricket during the second Test match against Australia at Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
Misbah reached the landmark in just 21 balls, and broke the record of Jacques Kallis who had reached the landmark in 24 balls.
The highlight of Misbah’s innings was the two sixes, one boundary and another six hit from consecutive deliveries off Steven Smith. He came after the dismissal of Younis Khan, who was on a three-match century streak before this innings.
Australia are well and truly behind in this Test, trailing by 517 runs and will need to produce some exceptional batting to save the match.
