Supreme Court has sought detail report from Election Commission and NADRA regarding missing records from NA-110 polling station in the constituency of National Assembly.Chief Justice said that they would also look into the matter of Khwaja Asif, who invited polling staffs for having tea at his home.
Three member bench heard electoral petition under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaaf’s (PTI) candidate Usman Dar’s lawyer Babar Awan told the court during the hearing that Khwaja Asif has been awarded in NADRA report.
He added that no action was taken against officials, who were involved in corruption in Election Commission, not a single officer has been arrested in 70 years.
While giving remarks, Chief Justice said that if they have criticized over NADRA’s report then why they don’t tear that.However, Secretary of Election said that district accounts officer keeps electoral record while record of some polling stations goes to another record of other contituency. The court has adjourned the hearing while seeking reports from Election Commission and NADRA.
