ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Javed Latif on Friday said that he forgave Murad Saeed, saying that he is just like his son.
The PML-N lawmaker, who was punched by PTI MNA Murad Saeed at passageway of Parliament House after a heated debate in the house , Talking to media outside parliament said that what had happened yesterday was regrettable.
“Murad is just like my son, I forgave him. Yesterday I utter some world in anger which were not appropriate,” Latif added.
Javed Latif said he would not go into the details of whether what he said “was right or wrong”, but acknowledeged that he should not have passed indecent remarks.
He said that PTI chief Imran Khan was not properly training his workers.
A day earlier, a scuffle had broken out between Latif and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Murad Saeed at the main entrance of the Parliament.
Footage of the incident showed Saeed attempting to assault Latif as the latter was leaving Parliament premises.
