ISLAMABAD: Mobile phone services and pillion riding banned in Islamabad today in connection with security threats on 9th of Muharram.
The Interior ministry issued a notification citing that cellular services will remain suspended from 2 pm to 10 pm in Islamabad today.
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan directed to provide foolproof security for Ashura processions across the country and declared 48 cities as most sensitive.
While chairing a high level meeting, Chaudhry Nisar review law and order situating, security measures for Ashura. He directed to ensure peace in federal capital and asked to adopt zero tolerance policy against violence and miscreants on Ashura.
